Bronze Me

Hello loves!

I know, I'm not even sure if you're still there anymore or you've all moved on to other bloggers. Anyway, I just wanted to share to you something I've been doing recently. I'm currently really into cosmetics and I've been watching a lot of videos on YouTube makeup tutorials, thrift hauls, and makeup reviews. I'm not gonna lie and say that I'm a girly girl because if you're an old subscriber, you'd know that I'm basically a boyish girl. I wear makeup around 2-3 times a month, I think. However, I've been really interested on all things beauty and fashion so I'm venturing out and embracing my femininity.

As you can see on the photo below, I've been swatching on my hand to see what looks good or not. Funny story about this whole this is that, when I was taking these photos and putting on my makeup, it was around 11pm or so. I really wasn't going to go out nor was I planning on going out the other day. I just really wanted to try out my makeup.

Don't you think it's funny how inspiration and a sudden strike of motivation comes to you at hours like these? It's almost similar to how ideas are formed when you're in the bathroom and taking your shits. You know? Anyway, There are more photos after the jump. If you're interested in seeing more of my little experiment on the whole makeup thing, click.
Here's a little close up of my eyes. Not gonna lie, my eyelashes look bangin' in these angles. I haven't curled them, hence the flatness of it when you look at it straight. I mixed natural browns and a bit of copper or bronze shadow on my eyes. I was trying, key term is trying, to pull off a Korean Idol vibe but I think I failed to recreate that look. However, I'm not mad at the final output.

What are your thoughts? Do you know any techniques that I can do to achieve a Korean Idol look? If you do have tips or pointers, leave them down below on my comments section. I'd love to know more about doing eye-shadow and finding a way to make a shadow appear on my eyes. As you can see, my lids sort of eat the makeup away or hide them so it's difficult to achieve a good eye-shadow look.

Here's a close up of my lips. Honestly speaking, I wasn't so happy with my lip since I'm not much of a girl that likes gloss or lipsticks that tend to look glossy. I get self-conscious of them or maybe it's just because I'm not used to putting on lipsticks or lip gloss or even chapsticks. As I've said before, I'm not much of a makeup person. Not until recently, anyway. So, this was kinda new to me and I didn't know how I'd feel about it. But if I was perfectly honest, I kinda liked how the lipstick made my lips look juicy, I guess. I also love the shade of it and how it's almost like a plum or wine color on my lips.

Here's the whole look. I think it's a simple going out look and it can even be a simple date makeup look. What do you think?

Some more close ups for my eye makeup. You can see more of the eye-shadow I've put on and I'm not sure if it looks flat or if I did a decent job on blending the different shades of brown and copper/bronze that I used. Again, if you know any tips on how to put eye-shadow on someone that has the same lids as mine, do let me know. I'd love to learn about how to properly apply eye makeup.

I think I'll end this here. xx
PS. During the time that I took these photos,
I had a really bad skin regimen and I'm sorry
about how my skin looks in these photos.
