FGMM: High Hopes

Hello loves,

Where do I even begin with this one? I'm a big fan of the band Kodaline and their songs have always made my heart beat fast, eyes water, and just have this incredible feeling of being present. I'm sharing to you guys this song of theirs entitled, High Hopes. I appreciate the story telling they've done in this music video. It was gut wrenching.

I applaud the director, the producers, and the band for creating a story for the music video that you could invest your in. I hope you guys will love this music video and really listen to the lyrics of the song. I swear to you, your heart will bleed for the characters in the MV and it'll strike a cord in your heart. I guarantee it.

Let's all have high hopes for tomorrow guys. Don't lose hope for what is to come even if you have to face an uncertain tomorrow or if you feel like you've hit rock bottom. Stand up and be steadfast. Don't ever think that where you are now is the end of your journey. You're barely at the end of your story. Never give up on yourself and remember that the world will still spin and the sun will still shine tomorrow even if today seems like an impossible day. I believe in you. I really do. We're all in this shitty world together and we can't always have shitty days. We have to choose to have good days. Just hold on and be steadfast in your decision to be better, be happier, to be whatever you want to be in your life. Okay?

If you have any songs you want to suggest I give a listen to, leave a comment below. Enjoy! xx

Oh. Range

Hello loves,

As I've promised you guys, here is my outfit breakdown for my previous look post, Oh. Range. Take note though that the products I listed here were not the products I used on that look post. I just wanted to give you guys some sort of outfit inspiration from that look as well.

As you guys know, I'm a big fan of minimalist style and I usually opt for looks that are black and white in shade. Even though I'm from a tropical country, I made this set to fit the Fall/Winter season. Anyway I better get down to explaining the outfit. So, here's the breakdown.

I partnered a striped sweater crop top with a really cute skater skirt. I considered the cold weather so I partnered the ensemble with above the knees wool socks. I saw these incredible boots while I was making this set and I thought, hey... this goes really well with the outfit. So, I added it with this set. I'm a big believer in simple silhouettes and statement accessories that accentuate, not overpower, the outfit.

As for the accessories, I chose gold tones to make it simple yet elegant. I think the clustered pearl necklace looked good with the neckline of the top so I incorporated that as well. I also chose a nice black clutch to partner with the look instead of the usual hand bag or what-not. Since I patterned the outfit for the Fall/Winter season, I added a grey wool coat. It may not be black or white but it certainly complements the overall look I was going for in this outfit.

So yeah, I guess that's about it. If you liked the set, comment down below. I'll be making more posts like this in the future. Do anticipate that soon. xx

FGMM: Here

Hello loves,

I'm back for another Feel Good Music Monday, or from here on out will be called FGMM. I've been living under a rock lately so my music choices are outdated and indie at best. I wanted to share to you guys a song that I recently hear entitled, Here by Alessia Cara. I find the mood of this song to be soothing and yet full of perspective on what it feels like to be in a crowd for the sake of being "present" or just to be seen with the in crowd.

A lot of people become a part of big groups that "live life to the fullest" or the "YOLO" and what-not. I have nothing against living life that way but is it really just about smoking weed, drinking, dancing, and all that teenage hype? I hope not. I like that this song gives contrast to the actions a person does under the pressure of their peers with what a person actually thinks about while doing those acts.

You don't have to do anything you don't want to do. You can say no. You might be in a situation where you don't want to participate in their actions but just spend time with the people around you. And I think that's what this song is all about. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I might be totally misinterpreting the song.

So yeah, I hope you guys like the song.
Tell me how you've interpreted the song or
what you think about it in general.

Oh. Range.

Dear me.

It's been such a long time since I've posted a look in this blog. Actually, it's been a long time since I've properly posted in this blog, period. I'm going to try to pick up the slack and go back into fixing my life. I've been floundering these past few years and I might actually stick to my plans this time. I have a good support system behind me, I'm happy with my relationship with both my parents and my partner, and I'm close to achieving my college diploma.

I wanted to commemorate that through my blog. I've been really active in the past and I feel awful that I've let life hinder me from doing something I enjoy and love, which is writing for and interacting with you guys. I won't give much detail on this look because I'll be doing a Polyvore set to recreate or channel this look. I hope you'll enjoy that as much as I'll enjoy making it.

If you like/love the look, don't forget to hype! xx

Feel Good Music Monday: Love Yourself

Hello loves,

I am not a Belieber. In truth, I've been avoiding anything from Justin Bieber like it's the friggin' plague but this song of his really made me think twice about my opinion of his music. It must be because he's maturing as a person and as an artist. I wanted to share this feel good music. I'm thinking I might make this a new segment for my blog, feel good music Monday. I think it's still Monday...
