Enviropop: The Marine Life Rescue Campaign

The life down under is very precious for it also contributes to the ecosystem. However, the creatures that live underwater are receiving severe harm from people. Many of our aquatic friends are suffering because of other people’s constant abuse to the environment thus needs immediate action.

Seeing them suffer is definitely a heart-breaking scenario. We can clearly see how shattered they are today even though we can’t hear their plea. The damage has been done and it happens continuously. So how can our helpless sea creatures protect themselves from the unfortunate state they are currently facing?

Applabs Digital Studios Inc. (ADSI) partnered with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-Philippines) to start a marine life rescue campaign by developing a game application that will teach people about the existing condition of our seas giving users the chance to experience a fun submerged adventure.

Through Enviropop, people of different age group will be able to distinguish the numerous hazards that are damaging the sea bed such as Trawl Net, Cyanide, Pet Bottles, Oil, and Dynamite. It aims to spread awareness and encourage people to take a stand in saving our environment especially the sea through the use of technology.

The latest puzzle application for iOS comes in Lite and Full Version that let users rescue our adorable sea buddies from looming danger by swiping all the toxics they will see in the game. Apart from that, this is one of the effective mediums to educate people because of its informative content.

Threat is not for human alone but for sea creatures too. People can look for several ways to contribute in saving our planet. One little act of kindness can create huge change in the lives of our aquatic pals. Save Bobby the Butanding, Gary the Grouper, Pattie the Pawikan, Clara the Clownfish, Doogie the Dugong, Dolly the Dolphin, Chi-chi the Panda, and the rest of the crew by downloading Enviropop today.

Food and Drink Ideas for Your Home Poker Party

As the game of poker continues to grow in popularity around the world, many people have tried to take up the game and are throwing their own poker themed parties.  Recently, I put together my own party for some of my friends and while we surely didn't play very inspiring poker, we still had a great time and the poker themed dishes and drinks really helped to make the party a success.

One popular favorite at my party was my Buffalo Chicken Dip.  It is a great snack that goes fantastic with a poker party and can also be healthy.  While the recipe calls for Fritos to be served with the dip, you can use celery, carrots, or crackers for those looking to cut back on the calories.

·         Two 8 ounce packages of softened cream cheese
·         Ranch dressing - one cup
·         Red hot sauce - 3/4 cup
·         One 10 ounce can of chicken or you can use fresh chopped or rotisserie chicken
·         Fritos Corn Chips - Scoop version

·         Mix and best ranch dressing, red hot sauce, and cream cheese.
·         Fold the mixture into the shredded or chopped chicken
·         Coat a pan with Pam and then spread mixture onto pan
·         Bake at 360 degrees for approximately 15 minutes
·         Apply cheddar cheese to top
·         Bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes
·         Serve while hot with Fritos or healthy alternatives.

For those of you wanting something unique while choosing what to drink for your poker party, try out the below recipe for the Big Blind Cocktail.  It is a mixture that goes down smooth  and is guaranteed to help your guests have a good time.  This drink was also a hit at my party and I will recommend that you might want to collect your player's keys at the door if you are going to serve many of these at your party.

·         Vodka - One Ounce
·         Gin - One Ounce
·         Dry Vermouth - 1/4 Oz
·         St. Germain elderflower liqueur - 1/4 Oz
·         Orange bitters - 2 dashes

·         Shake ingredients with ice.
Strain into cocktail glass or preferred beverage container.

That's it for me today. Hope you guys enjoyed this! xx

[Foodie Log] Formosa Bakeshop

Hello loves! I am back. Terribly sorry for not updating last week, I had problems with my computer and the photos that I'm going to use in my posts. But not to worry, it's all okay now. I'm going to share to you guys one of places we went to during our food trip in Chinatown, Manila. You guys know that we went to Ang Tunay Beef House on my last post and now, I'm going to share to you the dessert we ate.

We went to Formosa Bakeshop, which according to my mother, is a mouthwatering place. I mean, the designs of the cakes they have there are just superb. I wanted to buy and eat them all! I couldn't pick a cake so I let my mom and the friends I was with decide on what to eat. Aren't those cakes lovely?
