Tip Number Eleven

Hello lovely readers! I've been doing this College 101 segment of mine a little on-and-off for quite some time now and I know some of you guys are actually here because of it. I'm in a point in my life right now where I don't know what will happen next. I'm currently, school-less and I'm still looking or hoping to be qualified for a school to be admitted in. I'm prospecting a school just across my previous school, DLSU, and I'm hoping that everything will be fine. However, I'm not going to have my hopes up and later on be disappointed with the outcome. I know there are some issues, especially about trust and finances, that might not enable be to enroll to that school. Let's just hope everything does go well and I don't fuck this up.

That was actually off topic. I just had to tell you guys what has been happening to me since I do feel that those who read my blog or glance at it once in a while are my friends. I consider you guys my friends. I love how you're here reading this post. I guess I just wanted someone to know, somewhere out there, what I'm going through. Isn't that what blogging is all about? Sharing your thoughts, life, opinions, skills and whatever it may be to the big wide world. Right? Hoping that someone out there is listening and actually understands what you're going through without any judgement or resentment. Anywho...
TIP #11: CHOOSING THE RIGHT COURSE/MAJOR

Too much..

I'm gonna keep this nice and short, I'm at the end of my rope. I don't think I can hold on any more.
Today's my first slip, I think I became too at ease with the calm that I forgot about the storm.

Foodie Log: Seoul Garden

Hey lovely lads & lass! A few days ago me and my mom went out to meet our good friend, Doy, for his birthday bash. It's a KKB (kanya-kanyang bayad) in Seoul Garden, SM North Annex. If you guys haven't been there, I really suggest that you do visit the place. They have a really great buffet for an "affordable" value. I think it's affordable since you can stay there for 4-5hours just eating. I'm not kidding. We were in Seoul Garden from 5pm to 9:30pm.

My mother and I were with Kuya JP, the guy wearing glasses, and Kuya Doy, the guy wearing black, who was the birthday celebrant. Actually, Kuya JP got there a little late since he was in Mabuhay Temple which was at the other side of Manila almost in South. He got there at around 7pm or so, and by that time we already had a lot to eat. Now, let me tell you guys about Seoul Garden and why I really recommend eating in Seoul Garden.

Summerific ROMWE Polyvore Set

Summerific Romwe

Hey lovelies! I haven't posted something like this for quite a while now. I was looking at some of my photos in Twitter and I came across this photo. I suddenly remembered that I joined a contest sponsored by ROMWE and I didn't get to show it to you guys. It was a Polyvore set making contest with a "Summer" theme. Here's the set that I've created. Sadly, the contest had already ended and I didn't win the contest. What do you think of this outfit set? Does it give that "Summer" feeling?

The concept of this set was actually inspired by the heat that the Summer season usually creates. Being in a tropical country, it's very important to look and feel fresh all day. I think the best way to feel cool and fresh is to have comfy clothes and a rocking accessory set. You don't need tons of layers of clothing. All you need are some eye-catching statement pieces like a great feather earring or a breezy asymmetrical skirt and you're all set.

If you're one of those types that love having sky-high heels or rocking kicks then the new craze of flatforms are for you. They're comfy, fashionable and very easy to walk around with. I think the flatforms are a total must have this season and it may become a staple fashion piece for some girlies out there.

If you like this Polyvore set, you can like it here. You can also follow me on Polyvore. :)

Pescetarian Living: Almost 3 months

Bonjour mon amour! If you guys have read it before, I'm now a pescetarian. I'm abstaining from eating pork and beef up until only God knows when. It's not to be part of a fad or for any animal rights movement but I just wanted to be a pescetarian. If you guys don't know what a pescetarian is, click here to go to my older post explaining what pescetarian living is all about. I've decided to make it my little stepping stone into becoming a full pledged vegetarian. I'm not aiming to be a vegan just yet. I need to have baby steps. Just baby steps.

I'm actually very proud to say that I've survived numerous outings and buffets with my family and friends. I didn't give in nor did I even think that being a pescetarian is a burden. I have to admit though, on some days I have this craving to eat meat. No. Let me rephrase that, on some days I have a craving to eat bacon. Yes, just bacon. Sometimes, I also have that craving to eat a well marinated herb chicken that I really loved. But I'm not complaining since I can actually say that being a pescetarian made me healthier.

I am actually 10lbs. lighter and I'm seeing myself getting lighter as the days and months go by. I just need some sort of effort to exercise and I think I'll be able to lose 50lbs. by the end of the year. I know, asa much but I really think it's possible. I have been eating healthier food choices but I think I'm having this bad habit of skipping meals since I'm always in our house. Anyway, the pictures in this post are all taken by me with my Blackberry Torch's camera.

I've been eating in the healthy restos or the healthier choices of fish viands but I do have this tendency to eat fried fish like the Fish & Chips (1st photo) from Flapjacks, Fish Fillet with Tartar Sauce (2nd photo) from Delifrance and of course the delicious Salmon Cakes in brown rice (last photo) from Pancake House. I'll end this post here as I don't want to blabber on about nonsense to you guys. I hope you like this little update on my pescetarian living. I know some of you might think that I'm no longer on my diet since I haven't posted about it. That's not the case. I just forgot about it that's all. I even think that's a good thing since it comes only natural to me to select seafood viands in the menu.

If you guys are also pescetarians, I'd like to hear from you! Share some recipes and maybe even some exercise tips. Let's get healthy together, yeah? :)

Sweet Afternoon

Hey you guys! I haven't been blogging much these past few days because I was uninspired and very bored at home. I didn't know what to write or what to do, so I washed myself away with JDramas /KDramas /ThaiDramas /TaiDramas. I've been watching them like crazy. But, I had the opportunity though to do something very productive the other day. If you're following my Twitter account, you prolly know what I'm talking about. If you're not following me, then here's what kept me preoccupied yesterday afternoon...

I was baking! I don't consider it "legit" baking though since it's a ready to mix brownie and cookies recipe from Betty Crocker. I love Betty Crocker's chocolate fudge brownies. They are just simply delish! Anyways, I won't talk much and just photobomb you guys. Be ready! :)

Poetry Feature: Tinsel Tokyo Magazine

Hey lovelies! I'm excited to tell you guys about a poem that I made that was published in an LA magazine, called Tinsel Tokyo. I was contacted by one of their PRs and asked me if I would want to contribute an article or any type of literary/artwork for them. I saw this as a huge opportunity and well, I grabbed the chance immediately. I just wanted to let you guys know about it and maybe even read the online version of the magazine. I'll be posting the link below to Tinsel Tokyo's online magazine and I hope you guys would give it a read.

Tinsel Tokyo Magazine is actually an L.A. based magazine that has different topics each issue. It's scope is so broad that it can tackle anything under the sun and even beyond it. It focuses on showing the different topics through literature, photography and a little bit of both. I assure you guys that it's a total eye candy of a magazine. If you're a Vouge, Mega or any of those other fashion magazine fan but want more relevant, fun and interesting articles then I really suggest you read Tinsel Tokyo.

That's my poem and the layout of the magazine page. I just wanted to show this to you guys. I can't even express how much this means to me to be able to submit on time a predetermined topic for an article. I know, it's just a poem but I'm really happy and proud that I even got this opportunity. I hope you guys support me by supporting Tinsel Tokyo Magazine!

Here's the link to their Facebook and website.

Bad Vibes: Visual Music Carnival

I am very pissed off with my cousin and my aunt right now. As in as of this moment. I'm very excited to go to an event, if you guys have probably read my older posts you know what event I'm talking about. I'm really pissed off because of these reasons:

  1. I've already contacted her and we've agreed to go today.
  2. She didn't tell me before hand that she'll be doing something else today.
  3. She didn't tell me that she already left the house.
  4. I can't find her camera because she won't tell me where it is.
  5. They are so goddamn slow.
  6. They're not even considering that the person they'll be meeting up with is already there waiting for them.
  7. I really want to go to the event at around 3pm and I don't think that'll even happen.
  8. They're giving me shitty reasons to not go.
  9. I've been excited to go to this event for almost 2 weeks now.
  10. They're not replying to my text messages!
Those are the reasons why I'm pissed off and I want to freaking smack someone on the head right now, I know. I'm over reacting on this but I'm really pissed off with them. It's not even funny anymore. I really wanted to see the bands that are lined up for this event and not to mention help the cause. I'm just really pissed. They didn't think. UGH.

Sorry about this ranting post. I just couldn't help myself. I'm too goddamn pissed off. I'll most probably gonna delete this post in a day or so. So, yeah. Out for now.

[ANNOUNCEMENT] Bloggers United 3: Summer Bazaar 2012

Bloggers United Strikes Three!

Third time’s the charm for the most anticipated fashion bloggers event in the country!

Bloggers United is staging their third bloggers bazaar this June 2 at the Grandview Events Place to once again gather Manila’s top fashion bloggers in one single venue outside of the World Wide Web. After holding two successful events last year, Bloggers United has easily become one of the most anticipated affairs for both fashion bloggers and readers in the metro.  More than just a bazaar, Bloggers United also partners with charitable groups to use and channel their influence in a positive manner.

Through the overwhelming power of social media and blogs in today's generation, the previous Bloggers United events have successfully joined forces with top fashion bloggers like Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy and many more to inspire their followers and to raise funds for various beneficiaries,  namely KIDS Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation. This time around, the event will benefit Operation Smile Philippines.

The event gets better and better every time! To make Bloggers United 3 even more momentous, top Indonesian fashion blogger Anastacia Siantar of The Brown Platform will also be selling alongside Cebu fashion bloggers and our very own top celebrities Divine Lee & Sarah Meier.

So, if you love blog-reading and blog-hopping, Bloggers United is sure to be the perfect end-of-summer bazaar for you. Not only will you be able to bump elbows with your favorite bloggers at the event, but you will also be able to snag some of their own stylish statement pieces as they open their closets to sell to the public. Stay-up-to-date with the biggest gathering of bloggers by following us on Twitter (twitter.com/bloggers_united) and Facebook (facebook.com/bloggersunitedph), and bookmarking our official webpage (bloggersunited.org).

Surprises on Youtube

Hey lovelies! I've been a bum these past few weeks and I haven't really posted anything new for this week. If you guys want to know what I've been doing these past few days well, I've been watching movies day 'till night in YouTube. You guys know that I've been watching Korean, Japanese and most recently Thai and Chinese movies. I never really thought that even American movies were available in YouTube. Good thing I was very curious and I happened to type in all sorts of shit in YouTube. Hahaha!

Anyway, I wanted to show you guys what I'm currently watching right now. It's a great film if you're into those fighting games. It's a bit old but definitely still worth seeing. I actually planned on watching this film when it was still airing but I got lazy and you know the drill. Hahaha! I really didn't expect to watch it in full in YouTube but low and behold, I watched it. So, I want to share with you guys the link to the movie that I've watched and I might do this regularly, so yeah.

Click to see the trailer and the link to the full version of the movie...

G Star: The Shining Star in Shirts

Sometimes you want to stand out from the crowd. We don’t all want to look the same, even when we’re following a trend. And whilst some brands help you hide away, others help you put your own spin on things.

A good shirt goes a long way. It can say ‘I’m just hanging out,’ ‘I know what I want,’ or ‘I mean business.’ It can be easy to forget what your clothes say about you, but with a bit of careful planning and an eye for detail, you can let your clothes do the talking.

You can’t beat a high quality, well-fitting item – one that will stay with you, time and time again. We all like to look our best wherever we are, and brands that take the hassle out of looking good are our best friends.

Style is important to all of us, and you need to know that your clothes will work for you, whatever comes your way. Work life can sometimes be very consuming, but that doesn’t mean we want to let it all hang out at the end of a trying day.

Simply knowing that you’re looking your best – in styles and shapes that suit you – can take a huge weight off your mind. Knowing that, when it’s time for something new, there’s a brand you can return to time and time again, leaves you free to get on with enjoying the finer things in life.

One such brand is G Star RAW, who offers a massive selection of shirts for men and women. If you thought they were all about the jeans, you were wrong.
G Star for men

G Star shirts for men come in a vast array of shapes and styles. So if you’re off to that all important business meeting, heading out to dinner, or just unwinding at the end of the day, do it in style.

G Star for women

G Star’s collection of fashion shirts will leave you wondering why you ever shopped anywhere else, with plenty of styles to match all tastes.

With summer well on the way, be free to enjoy the sunshine in cool and stylish clothes that will last you through the toughest of times.

Visual Music Carnival

Hey lovelies! I found this somewhere online and I just wanted to share it with you guys. It's relatively near our place, it's easy to go to, and not to mention it's rather cheap for the line-up of bands that'll be present in the event and the amount of activities that are in the event. So, I'm inviting you guys to come to the Visual Musical Carnival!

Short Hair?

Hello lovelies! So, I got bored and look what I did! My hair's short! What do you guys think of it? Do you like it, hate it, doesn't matter? Comment down below and tell me what you think. I would love to know your thoughts on this...

Summer Escape in Canyon Cove

CAUTION! PHOTO HEAVY POST!
Hey lovelies! As I've said on my outfit post, I'll be making a separate post about me and my mother's little Labor day summer escape with some of our family friends. We've been planning on going out to the beach since summer had started and I was very pleased when my mother told me that we were going to Canyon Cove Residential Beach Resort on May 1.

Summer Escape

Hello ladies and gents! This is a little late but I wanted to share with you guys the awesome Labor day escape that me and my mom went to this May 1st. If you guys have been reading my previous posts, I was very excited for the Manila Music Festival and I was really planning on going but I already said yes to my mom in going to Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas. So, here's my little outfit post and then I'll do another post later for the story and what-not.

Le Plume x OFL Giveaway Winners!

Hey ladies and gents, especially to those who have joined my blog's anniversary giveaway! The end of the giveaway had already passed and I know you guys are excited to know if you've won or not. I know that feeling because like most of you, I also join giveaways from other bloggers. I know the tension and the intense feeling of waiting for an answer, not really sure if it's good or bad news.

Anyway, I won't make this long since I know you guys want to get on with it. Here are the winners for my blog giveaway, Le Plume Accessories x Operation: Fix Life. DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

Summer, Vacation, Winners

Hey you lovely ladies and gents out there in world wide web! I just came from a very fun but tiring trip from Nasugbu, Batangas with my mom and her friends. We went on a little summer escapade since it's Labor day and it's a holiday. I won't talk much about my little trip since I'll be doing a separate post on that tomorrow. I know, you guys still have to wait, but it'll be worth it!

I just love the place that we went to and it's just sublime. A bit pricey for the average Juan but still, it was worth it. I know I'm making you guys curious but I won't give much details so that there will still be a sense of mystery to my next post. Hahaha! If you're a Twitter follower of mine, you'll know where I'm talking about but if you're not, then I won't tell. Hahaha.

It's May 1, I remember promising you guys to announce the winner of my giveaways and I will, after this post. I will send an e-mail to the winners and inform them of their winnings. Also, I promise you guys that I'll make a proper post. I swear. I'm really sorry if I have been quite inactive lately. I hope you'll forgive me. Anyway, I'm off for now. I'll leave you guys with this spectacular mobile photo that I took in the beach we went to today. :)

Guess where this is! :)
