Where do I go from here?

Hello lovely ladies and gents! I have been in a state of turmoil these past few weeks and I wasn't in the right frame of mind to even make a decent blog post. I'm really very sorry about that. I am currently in a crossroad in my life and I'm scared of what will happen to me. I'm more certain now that I want to do with my life and the path I want to take to fulfill my dreams. I'm a bit scared and very nervous about this leap of faith but I'm excited as well. This'll be a new chapter in my life and hopefully, I can succeed this time around. :)

I'm sorry guys if this is a crappy post, I just wanted to update you guys but I know that it's a bit vague. I'll tell you guys all about this little leap of faith thing that I'm talking about. I just need to fix a few things and to make some of the decisions clearer. Hope for the best? Yes. Please hope for the best and pray for me, if that's your thing.

It creeps from inside, numbing your body
Polluting your mind with incessant probabilities
Immobilizing you from taking action,
Eating you alive every second and minute and hour.

It haunts you in whether you're asleep or awake.
It haunts every passing second of your life.
You cannot run away from what is within,
But you can fight it, defeat it, conquer it.

Fear lies to those who are emotionally weak.
Fear lies to those who shy themselves with what they deserve.
Fear lies in the hearts and souls of every human being.
Fear consumes, belittles and degrade our strengths.

Inspiration Trunk: It's All About Going Red

Hey lovely ladies and gents! Today wasn't a very good day for me because I found out a lot of shitty news and not to mention the weather today is seriously killing me. I didn't think that my day would become better but I guess I was wrong. I'm happy to tell you guys that I think I'm going to be a redhead in a few days. I'm really set on becoming a redhead and I really hope that I'll be able to pull it off or give justice to my hair.

I've searched in the internet some of the shades or some of the outcomes that I want for my hair. I thought that it would be great way to choose what kind of red I should go for. I hope you guys help me in finding the right shade of red for my hair. If you have some suggestion or reactions on my decision to be a redhead then please do leave a comment down below. Thanks guys!

These are some of the shades of red that I really really like and want for my hair color. What do you guys think? Would it fit me or do you think I shouldn't pursue it? I really need your feedback on this! :)
I like this shade the most and I think it's one of the most appropriate for me
I like both of them and the one on the right is the same as the photo above
This shade isn't also bad and I kind of want my hair to be this shade as well, I just don't know if the salon has them.
The shade that I actually love is the one in the middle, orange-red type of color
I'm also game with this color. It's not that glaring red but I love the ginger look
Here are some other shades of red that I'm also considering but I'm still very unsure of these ones. Unlike the shades above that I know I can more or less handle or give justice to.
I also love this shade of red but I think it's too glaringly red and vibrant, you think I can pull this off?
Demi as a redhead is also a nice shade but again, I feel like it's too light for me, or is that just me?
This is more of an orange than a red color but I kind of like it. I've always wanted to have orange hair
I like this shade of red but I think that it's a little bland or it might not suit me.
Unlike the first total red shade that I've shown you guys above, this is more brighter and bold. I might have some problems with it especially with the schools regulations. I think?
As for these two colors (bottom photos not top photos), I like them but I feel like it's way too light for me
Same problem, I like the shade but it might not be appropriate for me and my profession right now
So, what do you guys think? What shade of red should I go for? Or maybe, I should just forget about going redhead altogether? I need your opinions on this and it would really help me weigh in my options. I promise to make a blog post about my hair coloring on Monday, the day I'll go to the salon and have a hair make-over, or on Tuesday, the next day. I'll be waiting for your answers guys, thanks in advance! :)

College 101: Tip Number Ten

Hey ladies and gents! I just wanted to share to you guys this note that I read in one of my batch mate's notes in Facebook. The speech that you'll be reading below is an inspiration for me and many others who have fallen so low and yet held on to the ground that they've fallen to just to keep them from sinking further down. I'm not someone with high grades, a fail a lot of my subjects in school and I'm graduating 2 terms later than my supposedly batch mates.

Truth be told, I'm a disgrace to my family and relatives. The generation before me, my parents and aunts, finished their undergraduate studies with good, nay great, grades. I was expected to be the brightest one, everyone had already made a road for me to take so that I could succeed. Everything that I needed, not wanted, was given to me. Yet, here I am, a failure. It's really hard to say or think out loud that you're a failure but, I am.

I am a failure now and I won't deny that but the speech I'm going to show you guys inspired me and voiced out my pains as a student, daughter, niece and as a person. I may be a failure now but there will come a time that I will succeed in my life. It may not be the path that they've plotted out for me, or a path that I believe I am taking now or even a path that I am dreaming of taking but I know that someday, I will succeed.

What I'm trying to say to you guys is that, don't lose hope if you fail once, twice, thrice or even five times. Just hold on and keep fighting for your diploma. When your parents bring you down with the threats they give you and tell you to stop studying, say no. Never give in and let them win. Just keep on doing what you do until you graduate but never forget that you need to have satisfactory grades. If you fail all your subjects, you'll get kicked out. Always remember the number of failures you have and the grade you need to erase those failures. Never be too chill but never pretend to be someone you're not. As I've said before, enjoy your college life.

I'll end my blabbering here and let you guys read the speech that got me really inspired to make this College 101 tip. I hope you guys will be inspired by it. It's mostly written in Filipino so, for my non-Filipino readers, I'm really sorry if you can't understand it. :|

Blackberry Death

I think I just died. I can't believe it. My phone, a Blackberry Torch 9800, died on me. He suddenly crashed and burned after I rebooted it. I should have known that he was going to crash. It was already showing signs that he'll die soon if I don't delete some of my files. I didn't know that he would die this soon. Now, I don't know how to diagnose him let alone fix him.

I'm sad. Really, sad. I didn't know having a lover die on you like this is this painful. Of course, I'm only kidding. I don't want to sound overly dramatic, I'm just depressed that I'm going to lose all my files, my saved dates, my memos, my contacts and all those other shit. It's just not right. :( I'm dying a little inside when I think about all those things. Dying.

Fashion Inspiration: Mullet Dresses & Skirts

The Mullet

Hello ladies and gents! I've been seeing this style for quite some time now and I've been thinking of transforming one of my long skirts into a mullet skirt but I'm scared that it might not fit me. Anyway, I've decided that I wanted to share this little fashion inspiration of mine. I'm not sure if most of you guys like the mullet skirt but I really like them. It has that certain playfulness and sophistication that I really like with clothes.

It's short in the front to showcase those lovely legs but not as short in the back that might eventually show your knickers. A girl wearing mullet skirts wouldn't worry much about showing her underwear because the back part is long. It's a mix of edgy design and yet sweet and romantic at the same time. Whenever I see a mullet skirt, I reminisce on the days where ball gowns are a thing. It just gives me that sense of elegance and beauty.

Anyway, I won't babble much. How about you guys, do you like mullet skirts or do you hate them? Give me your opinions and feedback at the comment box below. Thanks for reading! :)

Song of the Day: Touch The Sky by Franco

Touch the Sky by Franco

Good morning ladies and gents! Today's a great day and I'm excited to start my day right and get things done. I think the best thing to do to start your day right is to have a good breakfast and a good song to listen to, just to get your blood rushing. I thought that my day would be dull and much like my other days but I guess I was wrong. Thanks to one of my friends and major mates, Ian, who posted a song in his Facebook feed, my day's gonna be great.

Nestle Fitnesse Cereal & Cowhead Pure Milk for breakfast
I hope you guys listen to the song and have a great day! Eat a hearty but healthy breakfast and don't forget to exercise even for a little. I'm off to have my usual breakfast (which is the photo above) and prepare for a busy day ahead. I'll be going to school today to process some of my papers for my summer class in Alliance fran├žaise de Manille and also pay for my tuition fee in Alliance. I hope everything goes as planned. Have a great day ahead of you guys! :)

Visita Iglesia

Click to Hype Visita Iglesia in Lookbook (04/18/2012)
Hey there ladies and gents! Surprise, surprise! I made another outfit look. Yes, I know. I got excited with the Holy Week vacation that me, my aunts and my cousins decided that we should go out and do a Catholic tradition during the Holy Week, Visita Iglesia. I won't talk much about the Visita Iglesia because I'm thinking of doing a separate post for that topic. What I'll be doing with this post is purely, outfit post. So, let's get started shall we? :)

Here's the breakdown of my outfit when we went church hopping aka Visita Iglesia. I've already numbered it down so that you guys won't get confused or what-not when I start pointing out which is which. So, here's what I wore that day. :)
1. Baleno Red Plaid Button Down Polo - My parents bought that for me when they went to Hong Kong last January and this was the only time I actually had the chance to take a photo of myself wearing it. I'm actually quite fond of this polo because of the way the cloth feels. I think it's made out of 100% cotton, but I'm not sure.
2. Crazy Horse: Liz Clairborne Bleached Denim Pants - I bought this pants in a thrift store for only 50pesos. Could you guys even believe it? I think that's one of the perks of buying clothes in thrift shops, you get designer quality goods at very low prizes.
3. Marks & Spenser Black Mini Sling Bag - This bag is actually not mine. I borrowed it from my aunt and well, you know how the story goes. I own this bag now. Hahaha! I'm actually quite in-love with this bag since it's chic and functional.
4. S&H Brown/Nude Brogue - My mom bought these lovely pair of brogues in SuperSale Bazaar for me when we went there around Christmas 2011. These shoes are one of my favorite shoes because they are comfortable and very chic. I also love that I got it for free thanks to my mom's need to buy boots for herself. Hahaha!
Here's a close-up of the outfit that I'm wearing and so that you guys can see the necklace that I'm wearing. That necklace was my mom's but she gave it to me since she usually doesn't wear accessories, or necklaces to be more correct. It's not properly seen in the picture above but that starfish pendant actually has Swarovski crystals on them, or so I think. If you guys are wondering, yes. Yes, my glasses are graded and not just for show. If you actually steal my glasses from me or if I forget to bring it, I can't function properly since I can't see properly. Hahaha! I am also wearing Meybelline NY's Red Wine Color Sensation lipstick. It was given to me by my step-dad when he got back from the states and it has become my favorite lipstick ever since. :)

I'll end my post here. Thank you guys for reading this blog post and my other blog posts. If you're interested to see my other outfit post, click here. I'm warning you though, I'm not a career fashion blogger so I don't have much outfit posts but if you still want to give it a try, just click the link that I've given. Thanks again for reading this post and if you've got any questions for me or what ever, email me or comment below. :)

Click to Hype Thrifted in Lookbook (04/19/12)
Hey there ladies and gents! I haven't done an outfit post in a while and since I did have some interesting outfit posts to make, I decided to make a not-so-daily look post! The outfit you see above is my post-party look from a party that I went to last March 31. If you're an old reader then you probably know which party I'm talking about but if you're new, it's this party. I know, this photo was taken a long time ago. Why didn't I post it earlier and what-not? Well, I've only got one answer... I'm lazy. Hahaha! No, really. It just slipped from my mind. Anyways, here's a breakdown of what I wore. :)

I bought these shoes at People are People in Robinson's Ermita with my friends Airiz and Janine. Want a random fact? That lovely heels right there is my 2nd pair of high heels, I only have two high heels and two wedges. Hahaha! I'm gonna change that fact because I'm feeling that I want more high heels in my little shoe rack. If you're wondering why that lovely pair of heels only cost me 799pesos, well... I bought it on a sale! Sales are a poor girl's best friend, as well as thrift shops.

As for my top, I bought it at a garage sale in Town and Country Village in Rizal where my aunt lived. It's a Daisy Fuentes blouse with a 4-button down detail in the front and color swatches design. I went there for my cousin's birthday and would you believe that I bought that top two to three years ago? Crazy, right? I really love the design of this top that's why even if my mom keeps on telling me that I shouldn't wear it anymore, I still do.

I just want to show you guys the hem design of the skirt that I'm wearing for this look because I know the photos don't exactly showcase the details that much. Anyway, I really love the whole artsy-fartsy design that the skirt hem has, it adds a more bohemian feel to the skirt. I think this is also the reason why I bought this skirt in the thrift store. Hahaha! :) The skirt that I'm wearing in this post is actually a long bohemian skirt but I wore it in a high-waist way making it look like a midi skirt.

I'll end this not-so-daily-look post here guys. I hope you enjoyed this post and if you want to see more of my not-so-daily-look posts, then click here. I promise to you guys that I'll make more outfit posts like this one, which is more comprehensive and fashion blog-ish type. If you guys have questions like where I specifically bought some of my clothes or where I usually shop, don't hesitate to ask via email or the comment box below. :)

Viral Spotlight: Bertie G.

Hey there lovely ladies and gents! I've been snooping around this lovely person's YouTube channel for quite a while now and I thought that maybe, it's time for me to share it with you guys. The videos below were made by BertiebertG or Bertie Gilbert. He's a funny young chap that is obviously rich. Hahaha! I know, sense my bitterness. I'm kidding. Anyway, he does all sorts of videos and he's very good at making/editing them.

I actually kind of compare him with Charlie but in a more non-geeky way. He's more of the BAMF type than a Charlie dork type. If you guys don't know who, Charlie is then... I'll have to make another post about him since he is a bit of a YouTube star. Hahaha! Anyways, here's a random fact about Bertie: he played Scorpius Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2!

One of the things that Bertie does in his YouTube channel is make "Dare Bertie" videos where you basically dare Bertie to do anything and he will do it. The video above is an example of one of his "Dare Bertie" videos and it is HILARIOUS!

One thing that I absolutely love about Bertie is his sense of artistry. I love the way he can come up with themes that ooze emotions and creativity. I like the way he edits his videos and not to mention the way he shoots them. You guys might think I'm exaggerating but... here. Let me just show you guys what I mean.

I think one of the reasons why I like Bertie's videos is that, I actually see myself doing the things that he does. I aspire to be able to make videos like his and go around Manila showing the world what Manila has to offer or what I can offer to the world. As for now, I'm satisfied with my blogging but I am definitely thinking of venturing out to the vlogging world sooner or later. This end my post, I hope you guys will visit BertiebertG's videos and enjoy!

Deal of the Day: Get Inked at Inkdependent Tattoo, Arts and Music!

Hey there ladies and gents! If you guys know me, I am a fan of tattoos. I have been planning to get a tattoo since I was in my 4th year in high school and I haven't wavered even once. I've been waiting for the right time to get a tattoo, meaning I need to have money and a good physique to start getting inked. I've thought of thousands of designs that I want to get done and it has changed through time but I think I have more or less a design that I will sure love till the end.

Anyway, what I actually wanted to tell you guys is the deal that I've found on Groupon PH. Get a 2x2 sized tattoo for only 1,200pesos from a well-known and experienced Filipino tattoo artist, Pido Respicio. They also have other deals that can range from a 2x2 sized tattoo to a full blown full back tattoo! How great is that! If only I had the money right now and the freedom to get a tattoo, I would. Sadly, I still need to go to school and be a student. I need to get a job first before I get a tattoo, or maybe a graduation present for myself. Hahaha!

Manila Music Festival 2012

Hey there ladies and gents! I've found this interesting news on the web and I just wanted to share it with you guys, especially you music lovers out there. Manila has finally caught up with the music festival scene that's all the craze right now in the world. Caochella, Laneway or Malasimbo in Puerto Galera, we are now the generation of the free spirited and music festivals is just one example of that. I'm a big fan of events like these but I just don't have the money and necessary resources to actually go to all of them. I rarely go to concerts and what-not but those are definitely in my bucket list.

Inspiration Trunk: Eyes

Eyes, as some people would say, are a person's window to his soul. Your words and actions may lie to another person but your eyes can't. I think a person's eyes is one of the most beautiful feature one can have. I find people with soft, broken and soulful eyes are the prettiest. When I see a spark in a person's eyes that could range from a spark of mischief to ingeniousness, it gets me going. It makes me want to spend time with a person and actually know a person.

A person's eyes can say a lot about a person and how he is invested in the person he's talking to, the surroundings he's in, or the amount of love that he truly have for a person. I think that a person's eyes show tenderness and openness to whomever looks at them. A person can smile through his eyes and also mourn through his eyes.

Maybe, a person can have such a strong exterior that we tend to give them so much crap not knowing that they're damaged inside and you can see that damage through a person's eyes. You can see all the pain that a person's going through and also all the joy that they are experiencing. Sometimes, we can even see how empty a person is or how lost they truly are in this world. It's hard to explain how one can say that a person is lonely or lost when you look at their eyes but you just know. You just have this feeling that they are lonely and that their eyes are speaking to you, telling you that they need you and that they need your help.

I really think that a person can't lie with his eyes. Actually, I believe and have faith that no man can have that skill because if we learn how to lie through our eyes then what's the sense of feelings? What's the sense of all feelings if we can just lie and manipulate it? Our feelings and emotions should always stay true and pure, even if it can only be seen in our eyes. This is just an opinion that I have and if you guys disagree with me, I don't mind. All I know is that, when your eyes do not shine the way it does before or it does not show what's true and what is pure in your heart then maybe, your soul had been broken and it'll be harder for you to show your emotions again. I mean, even a strict general in the military still shows his true feeling through his eyes. Right? I just find it hard to imagine a man with emotionless eyes. It's just too hard for me. Or maybe, I'm just too much of a romantic and a dreamer to even consider a life without love and compassion. Hahaha!
