The Fl{awe}d Project

The Fl{awe}d Project is a movement against bullying, insecurities and the definition of society's beauty among other things. One of its main goals is to bring different sorts of people with different stories to tell and create an avenue towards awareness, an awareness that they are not alone in their struggles and that there is somebody out there that shares the same story. The Fl{awe}d Project urges people to believe in themselves and to take pride on who they are and not be discouraged by what others are saying. As their tagline says,
We are perfectly flawed and beautifully strong individuals.
The owner and advocate of the cause, Kate Atienza, is an incoming 3rd year International Studies student of De La Salle University-Manila and a friend of mine. She believes in the beauty that every person possesses and she wanted to change how the society's perception of beauty and how the society judges those that are not categorized as beautiful. So please do support her cause by liking the Facebook page, following the Tumblr blog, and sharing to others the cause that The Fl{awe}d Project is advocating. The Fl{awe}d Project is also in Twitter, so you can get the latest updates anytime, anywhere and everywhere.

Please also remember that, beauty cannot only be seen with white porcelain skin, wrinkle free faces and skinny physiques. It is the confidence that you exude that makes you beautiful. It is being comfortable with your own skin and being proud of who you are and what you have, be it those love handles or that bushy hair. You are beautiful and never let others say otherwise.
